Curriculum Overview
Write a general description of curriculum you have designed, and explain the importance of this topic in today’s schools and the highlights of your curriculum. Include aprox. 2 course long essential questions. What are the key take-aways from this entire curriculum? Provide a rational for of the decisions that shape this curriculum (i.e. social justice, real world application, career and college readiness). Consider this section the “sales pitch” to highlight some examples of your curricular topics and design i.e. highlight a final assessment.
Critical Review of Research – at least 3 theorists references
Upon what philosophy or research is your curriculum designed? Explain your rationale for the layout/teaching and learning strategies/ etc. Provide evidence of curriculum effectiveness and necessity by linking the curriculum to well-known curriculum theorists and current published researched. Current research should be from the last 5 years. You must include at least three theorists discussed in class.
